Beppe is located in the heart of one of New
York’s best restaurant destination neighborhoods. Just a minute’s walk from the
glorious green market in Union Square, Beppe lies halfway between historic
Gramercy Park and the architectural gem, the Flatiron Building. The restaurant
is modeled after a Tuscan farmhouse; terracotta tiled roof, antique barn-wood
flooring and a roaring fireplace set the scene. But its chef March Walker’s
kitchen that truly sets the pace for the Beppe experience. March’s starting
point is the country kitchens of the Tuscan countryside. Like a traveler
driving around the cypress crowned land, he detours into villages, rediscovers
specialties, and presents them on East 22 Street with warmth and generosity.
